The memory of Hometown

According to the melting clocks, the Persistence of memory that painted by Salvador Dali is a attractive painting that can last forever. Because of the deserted scene over the seaside landscape on cliff, the emotion of the painting seemed so depressive and inanimate. It showed the scene in Catalonia, Spain, where is the painter Dali's hometown. When Dali looked outside his house, he can see the blue sky, the brown beach and the cliff. Thus, the painter should trying to express that he really miss his hometown.

Due to the background information of the painting, it's like a dream side to show up the scene that Dali missed a lot. Because of the melting clock, it shows Dali wished the time could stop and then he could go back to his hometown. He wanted the time to be persistence but actually he could not go back to his hometown ever. So he just drew down what he saw in his dream and wished the memory could be persistence.

Lastly, the not normal way to draw this painting made people to remember it forever, and the melting clock, the landscape on the cliff and the contrast of the bright sky and dark land got all together to combine this excellent painting.
